The Tenuous Light of Reason: the secular lesson of Norberto Bobbio is a work by Italian professor Gaetano Pecora, born in 1960, in Naples, full professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Sannio and the Department of Political Sciences at LUISS. His book, originally published in 2021 and translated into Portuguese in 2023, by Carlos Magno Spricigo, has the virtue of providing, at the same time, both an overview and a deeper understanding of the thoughts of Norberto Bobbio, with whom the author established a friendship, of those fought between a “magnanimous Master and an attached student”. After meeting him personally in the 70s, in Italy, Pecora began to have even greater admiration for Bobbio, which was certainly one of the impulses for him to pay homage to him in this work that is, above all, an invitation to his thoughts
